Director, HR Data Product Development
We are seeking a strategic and innovative Director of HR Product Development to lead the transformation of our Workforce Analytics & Insights team in India. This role will be pivotal in evolving our function from traditional reporting to delivering scalable, data-driven products and solutions that empower HR and business leaders with actionable insights.
You will lead a team of analysts and senior analysts, guiding them through a transformation journey toward advanced analytics, data science, and productized insights. This is a high-impact role for a visionary leader who thrives at the intersection of people, data, and technology.
Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of analysts, senior analysts, and lead analysts.
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and data-driven decision-making.
- Drive team transformation from ad-hoc and recurring reporting to scalable analytical products.
- Product Development & Strategy
- Define and execute a roadmap for HR data products and self-service analytics tools.
- Translate business needs into scalable, repeatable analytics products and dashboards.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise data architecture and governance standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with the HR Product Management team within Workforce Analytics & Insights to ensure alignment between product development and customer engagement strategies.
- Collaborate with HR Product Managers to incorporate user feedback, prioritize features, and enhance the usability and impact of analytics products.
- Work jointly to deliver a seamless experience for HR and business stakeholders, from insight generation to product adoption.
- Data & Analytics Transformation
- Streamline data management processes and improve data quality and governance.
- Introduce and scale advanced analytics and data science capabilities within the team.
- Champion the use of predictive analytics, machine learning, and automation to drive insights.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with HR and business leaders to understand key challenges and deliver insights that drive strategic decisions.
- Communicate complex data concepts in a clear and compelling way to non-technical audiences.
- Ad-Hoc Request Management
- Establish and oversee a structured intake and triage process for all incoming ad-hoc data and reporting requests.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and prioritized responses to stakeholder needs while balancing long-term product development goals.
- Support the HR Product Management team by providing analytical expertise and capacity to address urgent or high-impact requests.
Experience Required:
- 8+ years of experience in analytics, data product development, or related fields, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience leading analytics teams and delivering data products in an HR or people analytics context.
- Strong understanding of data architecture, data governance, and modern analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, R).
- Experience with cloud-based data environments (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) is a plus.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Passion for transforming data into actionable insights that drive business impact.
