To oversee day to day planning and administration of the Marine Department in Jebel Ali to maintain the efficiency and effective of daily work and corresponding.
To supervise and control Marine staff to ensure adequate coverage of shipping movements.
To ensure that the Port Navigation Aids are in position correctly and in good working condition for safe navigation of ship in and out of ports.
Maintaining of channel and berths, depths, marine craft, fenders and quays to provide safe berthing operation of vessel.
To deal with customer enquiries and complains for customer satisfaction.
Regularly visiting lay-up ship to ensure that they are properly moored and complying with port regulation.
Liaising with Marine and port security with DP World Department to put into effect the ISPS.
To attend inter department and outside company and conference as direct by Senior Harbour Master for discussions and decision making.
Pollution control and emergency response to take charge of anti pollution measure and clean up by leading people as directed thus ensuring safety procedures are carried out throughout the organization.
To ensure all records and logs are kept accurately for future reference and audit purpose.
Ensure compliance to IT policy in terms of implementation and monitoring of information security management in your department in line with the UAE region ISR policy.
Establish, review, and enforce marine services contracts, including terms & conditions, service level agreements (SLAs), and performance frameworks, ensuring compliance with regulatory, safety, and DP World corporate requirements.
Define, monitor, and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) for all outsourced and related-party marine services, ensuring service reliability, cost efficiency, safety performance, and continuous improvement.
Ensure effective cost control, value optimization, and commercial discipline across all marine services contracts, including contract renewals, variations, claims management, and dispute resolution.
Lead periodic performance reviews, audits, and governance meetings with marine service providers, addressing non-performance, risk exposure, and corrective action plans where required.
Ensure third-party marine service providers fully comply with port regulations, ISPS Code, HSE standards, emergency response requirements, and environmental protection policies.
Drive standardization of marine service delivery models, contract structures, and KPI frameworks across ports and terminals to support scalability, benchmarking, and best-practice adoption.
Essential Qualification: Graduate / Post Graduate in port management and Master's Marine qualification.
Work Experience: 8 years of experience of harbour and marine operations, Port Marine Safety Code, Pilotage, Towage and VTS Operations as an assistant harbour master.
