Sales Manager Freight Forwarding (m/w/d)

Sales Professional

We are looking for a dedicated Sales Professional to expand our customer base and maintain existing business relationships with a clear focus on solutions in the area of ocean freight and air freight forwarding. The position includes identifying new business opportunities, understanding customer needs, and developing tailored logistics solutions that create sustainable value.

Responsibilities:

• Active identification and approach of potential customers in the assigned sales area
• Building and maintaining customer relationships through regular visits and continuous support
• Conducting product presentations and demonstrations directly at the customer site
• Developing and implementing effective sales strategies to achieve defined sales targets
• Monitoring market trends and competitive activities to identify opportunities and risks
• Creating sales reports and forecasts to monitor performance and derive targeted optimization measures

Profile:

• At least 5 years of experience in sales, or in a comparable position in logistics – ideally with a clear focus on freight forwarding (ocean freight & air freight)
• Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written form
• Independent, goal-oriented working style
• Strong analytical skills for evaluating sales data and supporting strategic decisions
• Willingness to travel and flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions
• Team player with experience in effective collaboration with internal interfaces
• Negotiating skills in fluent German and English
