Revenue Analyst – Short Routes

Here at P&O Ferries we are seeking an Revenue Analyst – Short Routes to join our team here in Ashford on a permanent basis.

This is an opportunity to work as part of the Pricing and Revenue Management team helping to ensure that we:

1. Maximise revenue by managing inventory (passenger & vehicle) and deploying optimal pricing strategies.
2. Set up and maintain pricing per sailing in line with our revenue management strategy.
3. Monitor and optimise deck and passenger space availability using advanced revenue management tools.

The successful candidate will have a proven record in a role within an analytical background, you will have excellent numerical skills, strong problem-solving ability, and be proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.

The role is based our Ashford office, it is an office based role with some home working.

Key responsibilities and duties:

• Manage the set up and maintenance of pricing per sailing in our sales systems; in line with our pricing strategy set by the revenue manager;
• Proactively manage the deck and passenger space available for sale for each fare class by updating sales systems based on recommendations from the Revenue Management System;
• Work with capacity management to ensure that deck sales are optimised across P&O business segments, and the capacity on sale reflects any short-term peaks in demand.
• Ensure Revenue protection is adhered to by all departments and escalate any breaches
• Providing analytical support to the Revenue Manager and assisting with the development of the Revenue Management and Pricing Tools

The ideal candidate will:

• Have a degree in either Economics, Business Studies, Statistics or Mathematics; or previous experience in a pricing or analytics function;
• Have travel industry knowledge/experience;
• Be a critical thinker who demonstrates drive and desire to improve processes
• Have strong analytical and evaluative skills

Location – Ashford, this role operates Monday – Friday.
