Planner Landside Operations
Be the indispensable link between transporters, internal departments, and the terminal operations. Thanks to your sharp coordination, everything runs smoothly and the containers are exactly where they need to be: at the right time, in the right place.
Your Tasks:
- Coordinate operational activities on the landside of our container terminal with your colleagues
- Organize container placements for smooth, safe, and cost-efficient loading and unloading
- Maintain contact with railway and transport companies for the smooth inflow and outflow of containers
- Investigate damage cases, determine the cause, and prepare clear reports and statistics
- Work closely with internal departments such as Customer Relations, Waterside Planning, and Dispatch to ensure safe, efficient, and environmentally conscious landside operations
- Report directly to the Team Leader Landside Operations
Your Profile:
- You have a bachelor's or master's degree, or equivalent experience
- You have a strong interest in maritime transport and port logistics
- You possess sharp analytical skills and a flexible, hands-on mentality
- You are fluent in Dutch and have good knowledge of English. Knowledge of other languages is a plus, but not required
- You are precise, stress-resistant, results-oriented, and enjoy working in a team
- You are willing to work in a rotating shift system with early and late shifts. Night work and Saturday work occur on average every 5 to 8 weeks
