Global Director - Key Account Management - Retail
The Global Director - Key Account Management - Retail will be responsible for nurturing and growing relationships with our key clients across the globe. This role is pivotal to our organization's growth strategy, focusing on client retention, expansion, and delivering top-notch logistics solutions. The successful candidate will be an expert in the logistics industry, have a deep understanding of client needs, and possess exceptional relationship-building skills.
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their business needs and challenges.
- Act as the primary point of contact and advocate for clients within the organization.
- Identify account growth and expansion opportunities, collaborating with internal teams to develop solutions.
- Ensure that clients know all the services and capabilities our company can offer to meet their evolving logistics requirements and the possibilities of connecting the various capabilities of the toolboxes to offer fit-for-purpose solutions.
- Create and implement strategic account plans for key clients, aligning their objectives with our logistics solutions.
- Analyze market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities for client engagement.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their business needs and challenges.
- Act as the primary point of contact and advocate for clients within the organization.
- Advise capability sales to increase the probability of closing opportunities.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Solid experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Proven track record in global key account management, with demonstrated client retention and growth success in the Retail vertical.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., CRM systems, Excel, logistics software).
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
- Experience with lean management principles and continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.
