Role Opportunity: Research, Planning Executive
The Research, Planning Executive will be responsible to provide intelligence on various external and internal aspects of the business, drive improvement initiatives and extract, manage & analyze large amounts of data from various external and cross-functional databases for reporting purposes.
Your Tasks
- Work closely with the Research, Planning & Product Manager for market intelligence, macro-economic data, competitor intelligence and internal performance data for various reporting and decision making purposes.
- Evaluate available external market reports on the applicability of data and sampling methodologies.
- Use relevant external data and information in the development of marketing & intelligence materials & initiatives contributing to country's revenue growth.
- Support various Global, Regional & Country market research initiatives e.g. Market Intelligence Study, Customer Satisfaction Surveys (ICCC+, CPI, etc.) and analyse the data to propose revenue or customer experience improvement initiatives.
- Establish database infrastructure to organize large amounts of revenue and productivity data for data monetization.
- Analyze the economy, DHL's key markets, and Air Express/ Air Cargo market analysis.
- Analyze DHL competitive position with respect to customer & market segmentation to understand implications on short term and long-term growth.
- Analyze monthly product and customer segment trends, analyses abnormalities and recommend course of action to Commercial Planning & Research Managers.
- Support preparation for Commercial & Business reviews as well as Annual Planning exercises.
- Develop understanding of the various internal systems, databases and their linkages to each other to be able to extract appropriate data as and when required.
- Analyze reports and highlight areas of opportunities or concerns to Management for action.
- Support the Commercial Planning & Research team on Commercial projects and undertake additional tasks and responsibilities deemed necessary by Commercial Management.
What You Bring
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in process improvement or quantitative & qualitative analysis or market research related roles.
- Experience in Database Management, Data Analytics Analysis and use of external statistics databases.
- Excellent software skills (Microsoft Excel & Powerpoint).
- Strong and effective communicator with creative mindset.
- Experience of MS Access, PowerBI, Tableau will be a plus
- Minimum Bachelor Degree or higher in Business / Computer Science / Engineering / Data Analytics / Mathematics / Statistics or similar field.
