About the Role

We are seeking an Operations Director to shape, drive, and lead strategic operational growth initiatives across the UK & Ireland. This role is pivotal in defining long-term strategies, delivering innovative solutions, and ensuring operational excellence for existing and future customers.

Your primary goal? Secure sustainable growth through visionary leadership, customer-centric solutions, and operational transformation.

Key Focus Areas

• Innovation & Digitalisation: Drive automation and digital transformation initiatives, staying ahead of industry developments and leveraging cutting-edge technologies.
• Strategic Growth: Develop and execute long-term strategies that position DHL as the market leader in FMCG, E-Commerce, and Retail.
• Customer-Centric Leadership: Build deep relationships with customers, understand their evolving needs, and design tailored operational solutions.
• Network Design: Configure and optimise network models to deliver efficiency, scalability, and resilience.
• Blue-Sky Thinking: Challenge the status quo with bold ideas that shape the future of supply chain operations.
• Commercial Acumen: Identify risks and opportunities, create strategies to mitigate and accelerate growth, and deliver value through creative solutions.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in senior operational leadership, ideally within FMCG, Retail, or Ecommerce, large-scale logistics environments.
• Strong track record in automation warehouse environments, digitalisation, and operational transformation.
• Exceptional ability to think strategically and commercially, balancing customer needs with organisational objectives.
• Inspirational leadership skills to build high-performing teams and foster engagement in a matrix environment.
• Ability to manage and lead large scale, complex projects
• Ability to navigate complex challenges, influence stakeholders, and deliver innovative solutions.
