Position: Operations Controller Location: Ryton, Coventry (CV8) Grade: RCS. M Shift patterns: Monday-Friday. Day time hours (08:00-17:00) Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

At DHL Supply Chain, our Enviro Solutions contract is all about smart, sustainable waste management — and we're looking for an Operations Controller who enjoys getting stuck into the numbers, building great supplier partnerships, and making things work better every day. If you're analytical, commercially curious, and confident managing supplier performance in a fast‑paced environment, this could be the role for you!

A typical day may involve:

• Supporting the Supply Chain Support Manager with all projects, including but not limited to data extraction/analysis, quote obtainment and negotiations
• Supplier management to service levels and financial commitments
• Providing support to customer services teams with responsible for 1st level escalations surrounding supplier performance
• Obtain commodity pricing from suppliers on a weekly, monthly or quarterly basis, analyse and negotiate where applicable
• Provide strong reporting and analytical information to support senior management team
• Carry out periodic market analysis to keep the team up to date with changes within market pricing and supplier activity
• Supporting with price obtainment to ensure maximum value at all times for new and existing services
• Providing first level escalation from Operations Support Manager regards challenges with supplier base

This role would suit people who:

• Previous experience within Waste & Recycling industry/Supply Chain industry would be desirable
• Previous Key Account Management/Account Service/Supplier Management experience would be beneficial
• Excellent communication skills - Verbal and written
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Ability to work in a pressurised and highly time sensitive environment
• Proven attention to detail skills and ability to prioritise workloads
• Computer literate with excellent PC Skills (Excel - Look ups, Formulars), Microsoft packages
