Manager Sales Strategy & Projects
Build your career. Make an impact.
We are DHL Freight – a group of 13,000 road cargo experts and certified freight specialists operating in more than 40 countries, who are proud to provide our customers with the best overland freight transport solutions. We are always looking ahead to the next commercial opportunity, anticipating the next global trend. Because at DHL Freight, we're not simply about freight forwarding. We're about forward-thinking ways to connect people – and improve lives.
We are looking for a Manager Sales Strategy & Projects to join our Global Sales Department at DHL Freight's Head Office in Bonn.
This is a full-time position (40 hours/week) with an ideal start date of 1st June 2026.
In this global role, you will help shape and execute the commercial strategy of DHL Freight's sales organization. You will lead cross-country projects, build sales enablement and training concepts, run performance and reporting routines, and support senior leadership with clear, decision-ready materials.
You will work in a highly international, matrix environment and act as a key link between global headquarters and local sales teams – turning strategic priorities into practical actions that improve sales performance, customer development, and sustainable growth.
Your tasks:
- Create executive-ready content with real influence: Build crisp presentations, briefings, and decision papers for senior leadership, turning complex topics into clear, action-oriented narratives.
- Facilitate the global sales community: Own content planning and moderation for monthly global sales calls/townhalls; publish timely updates to keep everyone aligned and moving fast.
- Be the "single point of orchestration" across countries: Collect, structure, and consolidate inputs from multiple markets; coordinate fast, high-quality responses to central functions and executive stakeholders.
- Lead global sales projects from idea to rollout: Plan and drive the rollout of global sales processes and tools - stakeholder alignment, enablement, change management, and adoption tracking included.
- Bridge business and IT: Translate commercial needs into requirements; coordinate with commercial BPM/IT and country teams to ensure solutions are delivered effectively.
- Turn strategy into execution and measurable results: Help shape the annual sales strategy, cascade it into the organization, track progress, assess impact, and refine actions based on performance and feedback.
- Administer a modern sales knowledge hub: Maintain and continuously improve a central repository (playbooks, templates, guidance, updates) that makes selling easier and more consistent across regions.
- Drive commercialization of sustainable transport solutions: Create compelling enablement materials (value propositions, pitch decks, FAQs), run regular enablement sessions, and represent Sales in cross-functional decarbonization governance.
- Strengthen Sales capabilities through training & key customer programs: Own a global training/onboarding framework (incl. train-the-trainer), build a modular curriculum for multinational customer management, and support/PM strategic sector and key customer initiatives end-to-end.
Our perfect match:
- Proven experience in sales strategy, commercial excellence, sales enablement, or project/program management within an international environment
- Experience in B2B industries with complex solutions (e.g., logistics, transportation, industrial services).
- Strong ability to drive cross-functional initiatives without formal authority, aligning stakeholders and ensuring execution
- Solid analytical skills with experience in performance tracking, reporting, and data quality
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including executive-level messaging
- Highly organized and structured, able to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders
- Fluent English (additional European languages are a plus)
