In this challenging position, you will take overall responsibility for the commercial area of Life Science/Pharma as well as Cold Chain. You will be involved in the strategic development and implementation of concepts in the Life Science, Pharma, and temperature-controlled logistics sectors and actively contribute to the expansion of this business field. Your main tasks include building, developing, and managing key account customers in the pharmaceutical environment. The focus is particularly on air and sea freight solutions, supplemented by land transport and customs clearance. You will analyze customer needs, create individual customer profiles, and develop customized logistics solutions. Furthermore, you will be responsible for the timely preparation of offers and their consistent follow-up.
As the central contact person, you will actively sell global forwarding services and acquire new customers and additional transport volumes. You will manage your key accounts on both a strategic and operational level, ensuring sustainable customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will lead and coordinate tenders (tender management) and conduct corresponding contract negotiations.
Your profile includes a completed education or degree in logistics, forwarding, business administration, or a comparable field. Several years of experience in air and sea freight as well as in the pharmaceutical/Life Science environment are advantageous. Experience in key account management and dealing with complex customer requirements is required. Strong sales skills and negotiation skills are essential. Knowledge in the area of temperature-controlled transports (Cold Chain) is advantageous. Analytical thinking and strategic working methods are required. Confident use of CRM systems and MS Office is necessary. Very good German and English language skills are required.
