Key Account Manager Bij DHL Global Forwarding

What are the duties of a Key Account Manager at DHL Global Forwarding?

• You manage a defined portfolio consisting of strategic customers

• You expand your portfolio through targeted prospecting

• You analyze customer needs, provide advice, and creatively develop tailored proposals in collaboration with your operational colleagues, and follow up on these

• You negotiate and contract

• You conduct monthly or quarterly discussions with your customers at a strategic level

• You share market information both with customers and prospects as well as internally

• You report your customer visits and opportunities in our CRM system

• You participate in fairs, seminars, sector-specific initiatives, and relevant networking activities.

Requirements:

• You have a Bachelor's degree in management or logistics or equivalent through experience

• You have at least 5 years of sales experience in a 'forwarding' environment (both air freight and sea freight)

• Experience in the Chemicals or Retail sector is a plus

• You can listen well, detect customer needs, and negotiate

• You are communicative and diplomatic

• You work proactively, autonomously, and result-oriented

• You are fluent in the following languages both orally and in writing: Dutch and English and good in French

• You have good computer skills (Microsoft Office applications)
