At DHL Global Forwarding, our Integrated Warehousing Services (IWS) department offers total logistics solutions by combining warehousing with AIR, OCEAN, and GROUND FORWARDING. Our services include inbound logistics, storage, inventory management, outbound logistics, and local distribution, all designed to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. With dedicated and multi-customer warehouses, we provide a one-stop shop for warehousing and transportation services using state-of-the-art technologies. As HoIWS, you will oversee and optimize warehousing operations, ensuring efficient logistics and seamless service delivery to our customers.

Job Purpose: As Head of Integrated Warehousing Services for DHL Global Forwarding (DGF), this role entails a crucial responsibility in leading Warehousing Business & transport planning/design operations strategy to provide fast, reliable, efficient and affordable transportation/ shipment of goods from origin to destination, meet customer and market-specific requirements in line with the business strategy and requirements, corporate guidelines and policies.

Major Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and provide input for the strategic direction of warehousing, transportation, inventory management, shipping and receiving, and customer service levels
• Prepare plans and lead delivery of complex projects and initiatives to provide fast, reliable, efficient and affordable transportation of goods from origin to destination
• Lead smooth operations for logistics facilities and transport networks, including underlying IT systems for delivery and transport of all goods
• Evaluate cost-effective, efficient and reliable logistic solutions for distribution of materials and finished goods
• Guide planning, control and monitor critical material transportation, anticipate and resolve issues for the same
• Defines and implements the Standard Operating Procedures across all functions of warehousing and transportation for various brands of the company in Pakistan
• Develop and adapt warehouse infrastructure and processes, and transportation network to meet customer needs and market requirements
• Manage the allocation of appropriate resources and commitment of staff to the achievement of Global, Regional and Country objectives and targets.
• Standardizing KPI figures/data presentation for warehouse and transportation on global/ regional / country levels.
• Execute and track safety and security measures to ensure goods and equipment safely operated and properly maintained and stored.

Qualifications Required:

• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in a relevant field, including 3-5 years of experience at a senior level in freight forwarding industry at multinational or renowned local company.
• Master's degree is preferred in related field.
• Strong negotiation skill and problem-solving attitude.
• Project management and strong interpersonal skill.
• Functional experience in Operations, Inventory Control, Stakeholder Management and People Management.
• Established industry network and presence to nurture business development relationships and opportunities.
• High integrity with good work ethic.
