What You'll Do

In this role, you will be responsible for customer experience and commercial excellence across the DSC NZ business. Whilst the role has no direct reports, this is a leadership position to embed the global Pricing Strategy and best practices within NZ, lead and advise on commercial contract negotiations and own and lead the NZ Customer Experience (CXM, Customer Basics). This role will be responsible for working with Operations Leadership to raise the level of commercial management and experience across the Account Management teams, driving improved commercial outcomes for DHL and increasing customer satisfaction.

In a nutshell:

  • Driving increased growth (NfE AGP) from existing customers
  • Driving increased renewal rates - ensuring on time renewals and minimising run-ons
  • Developing and delivering a sustainable training plan for Account Managers
  • Acting as pricing champion for NZ
  • Negotiating selected customer contracts (New Business and Renewals) with customer stakeholders at all levels including C-suite

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone with:

  • 5+ years - Senior Account Management / Customer Relationship roles – essential
  • 5+ years - negotiating high $value service contracts in a B2B environment - essential
  • Strong expertise in logistics and 3rd party warehousing, including a deep understanding of warehouse management practices.
  • Leadership experience, with the ability to inspire, influence, and motivate teams at all levels to consistently deliver outstanding results.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships, negotiate effectively, and influence key stakeholders.
  • A degree in Business, Management, or Supply Chain is advantageous.
  • Solid financial acumen, including experience in setting targets, managing budgets, and analysing operational performance.
  • A track record of operational excellence, ensuring the maintenance and continuous improvement of standards.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, essential for the success of this role.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently and professionally in a fast-paced environment.
