Develop and administer sales sub function plans and processes to deliver business growth, profitability and enhance customer retention for a defined area/ territory in line with business strategy, financial objectives, Group guidelines and policies.
Develop and formulate sales plans covering sales forecasts, revenues, costs and budgets for a defined area/ territory.
Prioritize and coordinate for development and implementation of sales, marketing, customer retention, advertising, pricing and distribution plans for the territory/area.
Analyze extensively and achieve customer retention, business growth and profitability for the area/ territory.
Deliver critical pricing policies, monitor profitability against targets and manage price re-negotiation.
Analyze extensively sales, revenues and costs against forecasts to identify problem areas.
Draft plans to adapt procedures or re-allocate resources to improve the overall performance and sales results.
Identify improvement areas based on pipeline reporting in collaboration with sales effectiveness.
Research and evaluate market trends and customer requirements and support translation of products/ services into solutions to meet their needs.
Understand and analyze customer strategies, contract negotiations, cross selling activities and supply chain management processes.
Analyze sales support processes and tools to ensure sales force effectiveness.
Identify, establish contact and maintain relationship and agree with external parties to accept complete proposals and programs where there is little interest in cooperating or participating.
Connect with and influence other specialist departments and 3rd parties e.g. external service providers.
May convince others to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches.
Build strong, trusting cross-functional relationships with DHL managers.
Understand customer and key stakeholders interests and concerns and advise direct reports, customers and key stakeholders.
Provide technical guidance to line managers and employees.
Individual contributor who may manage two or fewer employees.
May direct the work of other lower level professionals or manage processes and programs.
Coach and review the work of lower level professionals.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience/qualification.
