Customs Clearance Specialist

We are looking for an experienced specialist to manage and execute end to end customs clearance activities at Port Klang. Ensuring compliance with customs regulations, timely clearance, and effective coordination with customs, OGA, port authorities, internal stakeholder & etc

Job Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with declarant on preparation of Customs & ZB/FZ declarations (K1, K2, K3, K8, K9, ZB1,ZB2,ZB3,ZB4)
• Monitor vendor performance on timeliness, accuracy, and responsiveness
• Validate draft declarations before submission to customs by ensuring accurate entry information to matched with BL,CIPL, exemption & etc
• Track and ensure all CS instructions are executed & actioned within SLA timeline
• Monitor myCIEDS submission status & maintain visibility of shipment status from instruction to clearance
• Coordinate with runner colleague on manual clearance submission & clearance delivery planning including loading/unloading & truck sealing/break seal
• Handle amendment, cancellation letter preparation & query from customs or OGA promptly
• Manage customs duties & taxes payment process & monitoring COR/CRD documents upload completeness in CW1
• Communicate with internal team on shipment status progress
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations, company & customer SOP
• Monitor clearance progress and resolve exceptions proactively
• Coordinate with port terminal, Customs, OGA and related authorities at PKG on clearance related activities
• Track KPIs such as turnaround time, accuracy, milestone, document upload completeness and SLA compliance
• Support process improvement, KPI tracking & automation or digital initiative
• Preparing customer reporting & conducting random post entry audit
• Provide operational backup support and perform other assigned duties (ie runner activities & processing declaration filling when required)

To be successful in this role, we are expecting:

• This role requires minimum 3 years working experience in the freight forwarding field / logistics industry and mandatory to have custom declaration background exposure.
• Skillset requires: Strong Negotiation Skill, managing Stakeholders' Expectations, Custom Declaration Process Knowledges
• Preferably customs clearance experience in the Freight Forwarding
• Candidate must be willing to do shift work (especially Night Shift), Public Holiday & flexible with working hour.
• This position is located in Port Klang, Selangor.
