Job Purpose: As Executive, Air Freight at DHL Global Forwarding (DGF), your role is crucial in administering import plans and ensuring seamless export and import operations. You will be responsible for preparing documentation with relevant authorities, guiding and advising customers on import processes, and ensuring full compliance with corporate guidelines and policies. You will play a vital role in supporting day-to-day operations, facilitating smooth logistics while aligning with the business's operational objectives, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Major Job Responsibilities: Support administration of AFR Operations and Customer Service plans, processes to provide air freight services for internal and external customers. Support administration of import plans and processes to optimize service and performance. Execute transactional operational activities related to import in adherence to regulations and internal procedures. Undertake import entries and support operational activities as per internal procedures and latest local customs regulations. Calculate duties, tariffs, price conversions, weight, and volume of merchandise imported from foreign destinations. Process, handle, distribute and archive all required import documents. Verify invoices and shipping documents to enhance accordance with regulations. Verify entries to ensure customer requirements are met and suggest routine corrective actions in case of deviations. Ensure import operations are as per business guidelines and compliant with set expectations. Perform IT systems related tasks to provide updated information on shipment. Work with internal functions such as customer service, product, sales, etc. Coordinate with overseas office to check and verify shipment information. Identify and resolve recurring issues, and suggest modifications for import work methods focusing on increasing effectiveness and efficiency.

Qualifications: Minimum bachelor's degree from a reputable university is required. At least 1 year of work experience in the logistics industry is preferred. Familiarity with CargoWise1 will be an added advantage. Proficiency in MS Office, Excel and Outlook applications required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proactive, reliable, and collaborative team. Demonstrates high integrity and strong work ethics.
