Manage transportation; freight management and fleet services; support business development with sector support and new transportation accounts; also grow existing accounts.

• Ensure that all principal orders in multiple locations are scheduled in accordance with their specific guidelines to guarantee on-time shipping and/or delivery.

• Maintain and continue to develop relationships with our customers through visits. Market Service Specialists contacts, etc. In order to enhance our reputation for providing the highest quality distribution service available.

• Develop new business in cooperation with Business Development Group.

• Provide or promote training where required.

• Manage the Transportation Department in such a way as to ensure we are developing the people, carrier, and system resources necessary to maintain current customers and accommodate growth.

• Provide our principals with timely, accurate data regarding their delivery costs and on-time delivery performance and offer suggestions for improvements where appropriate.

• Monitor the carrier's performance in cost, service, and overall quality to ensure our competitive position.

• Establish team problem solving as the method whereby critical issues are addressed.

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, required

• 5-10 years of experience in transportation required
