Key Account Manager

DHL Freight Sweden seeks a Key Account Manager in southern Sweden. Suitable locations are at any of our terminal cities in southern Sweden such as Helsingborg, Malmö, Växjö, or Göteborg.

Do you want to be part of DHL Freight Sweden's growth journey? Are you a driven and experienced salesperson with a great interest in transportation, business, and customer satisfaction? Then you might be our next Key Account Manager – we are currently looking for a new colleague to join our team.

Your role as KAM involves focusing on developing our largest and most complex B2B customers. You will join a team and report to the Director of Key Account Management.

Your responsibilities include developing existing Key Account customers and acquiring new customers for DHL Freight. You are responsible for your customer portfolio's profitability and revenue. You work strategically with our products and services to meet customer needs. You actively work to identify customer needs and develop competitive solutions that create growth. You build and develop relationships with key individuals and have a dialogue with the customer about how we can develop logistics solutions. You have a responsibility to develop and implement a business plan for each customer and have a customer team to support you in implementation and activities around the customer. Your role to lead and inspire the internal customer team is therefore important. You thrive in a customer-facing role, both in digital meetings and especially in physical customer visits.

Who are you?

We believe strongly in personal qualities such as drive and business acumen in this role, but the following qualifications are considered meritorious and will be weighed:

  • At least five years of sales experience in a KAM role or equivalent senior role with documented good sales results
  • Solid experience in transportation and logistics, preferably road transport
  • Solid interest in sales within Business to Business
  • Experience in complex service sales to larger customers in an international environment
  • Ability to develop businesses and strong negotiation skills
  • High integrity and ability to act as a trusted advisor at all levels in customer meetings
  • Courage and strong drive
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish as well as very good knowledge of English and very good presentation skills
  • Good analytical ability and ability to challenge yourself and others
  • Very good planning and organizational skills as well as network building
  • Ability to think new, come up with innovative ideas and inspire your customers
  • Habit of leading projects and ability to take the pulse and lead others
  • Valid B-license is a requirement
  • Good at handling Office and computer use
