The General Manager Fleet takes full operational and leadership responsibility for overseeing the operations and management of Contractor and DHL owned fleet, including trucks, trailers and vans. The role will ensure efficient and compliant running of the DHL owned fleet, ensuring the fleet is fully utilised, serviced & compliant for use, driver scheduling and ensuring service levels are improved whilst overseeing the fleet team to ensure alignment to Strategy, Utilisation, Compliance, cost controls and improvement opportunities. The role also manages relevant fleet insurance policies and subsequent insurance claims and new and evolving sustainability solutions e.g. EV vehicles.
More specifically:
To succeed in this demanding role, you will need to have a high-level knowledge and understanding of fleet operations, and people, and be able to effectively prioritize these to ensure the key time critical milestones are achieved. You will also be required to have sound knowledge of all facets of Supply Chain Operations and have experience of managing a large fleet from acquisition through to resale.
